What a morning! Beautiful outside, not so inside - Royce's first day volunteering at the Wye Marsh! He is so nervous and doesn't want to go! Lots of yelling, threatening, etc to get him out the door, then I had to drive him there! We both yelled, then cried, then talked, thankfully he had time to calm down and reluctantly went inside. I REALLY HOPE he has a good day. He is supposed to go back tomorrow and Monday. This will give him more than half of his volunteer hours needed to graduate from high school. But more important I am hoping it gives him new friends and new courage and self confidence - he needs these so much!
Royce has Aspergers Syndrome and is getting more withdrawn all the time.
